Build the part of the law everybody actually uses.
Engineers, editors, attorneys, designers, and operators — the people who put real legal protection in the hands of millions. Twenty-six years in, fully remote, profitable, and still moving fast.

We're a quietly profitable, twenty-six-year-old company that has spent the last decade rebuilding legal documents from first principles — and we're hiring the people who'll do the next decade.
The rules of the shop floor.
- 01
Make it readable.
If a sentence requires a law degree to parse, we rewrite it. The customer is somebody filling out their first POA at midnight — every UI string and clause has to clear that bar.
- 02
Ship every Tuesday.
We deploy the monolith and twelve shards multiple times a week. Quality comes from a tight feedback loop, not from cathedral-style release cycles.
- 03
Receipts over rhetoric.
Every legal claim cites the statute. Every metric ties to a query. Every roadmap item has a customer behind it. We argue with evidence, not vibes.
- 04
Take the work, not the credit.
Editors review engineers' copy. Engineers review attorneys' code. The best idea wins; the loudest doesn't. Ego stays at the door.
The full offer sheet.
Compensation benchmarked at the 75th percentile of US legal-tech, refreshed annually. Equity grants vest over four years.
Minimum 20 days encouraged. The company shuts down for the last week of December so nobody lurks at the keyboard.
Fully remote since 2014. Quarterly all-hands offsite somewhere notable. Houston HQ for whoever wants a desk and decent coffee.
100% premium coverage for employees, 90% for dependents. Plus an HSA and a no-questions mental-health benefit.
Books, courses, conferences, licenses — anything that makes you better at your craft. We don't audit it.
We fly the company together twice a year. Past spots: Mexico City, Lisbon, Charleston, Banff.
Currently between cohorts, but the door is open.
We don't post roles unless we're ready to hire, and we hire in cohorts so new people get a real onboarding. The next cohort opens this summer.
If you'd be a great fit for one of the teams above, write to us anyway. The strongest candidates we've hired came in cold, between cohorts, with a portfolio and a paragraph about why they want to work here.
Houston headquarters, everywhere else the rest of the team.
We've been remote-first since long before it was fashionable. The Houston office is open for whoever wants a desk, a whiteboard, and decent coffee — but it's never required.
